Dialog and Airtel Going to join each other

The Telecom Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka has approved the decision taken in May 2023 to merge the services of Dialog and Airtel.
Accordingly, Airtel and Dialog will be merged in the next few months. Here, Dialog and Airtel will operate as two service providers and will jointly use the spectrum offered to them and jointly use the phone tower.SLT Mobitel filed a lawsuit protesting this.

However, the spectrum of Lankabel, which ended the service, has been distributed equally to other telephone companies.
2300 MHz for Mobitel 2500 MHz for Hutch and 1800, 2000 MHz for Dialog and Mobitel have been granted permission to grow their frequencies.
