TV Lanka has suspended free digital television services.

TV Lanka’s free digital television service which was running through Dompe transmission for almost ten months has been suspended since yesterday. Several local TV channels on channel number 48 were viewable on TVs that supported DVT-2 digital TVs without a TV Lanka decoder. An opportunity was also provided to listen to television as well as radio services of the Sri Lanka Radio Corporation through the service provided free of charge with 720p HD views.
Even though the television channels have been scrambled by free digital, it is still possible to listen to the radio channels of the Sri Lanka Radio Corporation for free.
