A 2.4 MW solar power plant is set up on the roof of the CEAT factory in Kelaniya.

CEAT Kelani Holdings Company says it has installed a 2.4 MW solar panel plant on the roof of its manufacturing complex in Kelani. The investment made by the company for this is 475.97 million rupees.
The project has been carried out by Regan Renewables Pvt. and the company states that it will generate 59.61 gigawatt hours of electricity during the operational period. This solar panel system has been installed on the roof of the factory covering 295,200 square feet. At the same time, the electricity bill which is 13% of the current production cost of the company will also be reduced.
