Strong opposition to MR in Nawalapitiya
The second public rally of the series of “Ekwa Udshimu” public rallies organized by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna was held at Nawalapitiya (Oct 16).
After former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s visit to Nawalapitiya, the people of Nawalapitiya protested against him and it is reported that the police were deployed to control the situation.
