Businessman found tied inside the car at Borella

Fifty-two-year-old businessman, Dinesh Schaffter, a director of Jana Shakthi Group, who had been found tied inside a car at the Borella General Cemetery.

He was admitted to the ICU at National Hospital Colombo and passed away while undergoing treatment, police said

Police said the businessman Dinesh Schaffter had left his home to attend the meeting. However, he had not responded since evening and he was found in the Cemetery when his wife located his businessman vis GPS.

The criminal Investigation Department (CID) is conducting further investigation into the incident, which is suspected to be an attempt to abduct and murder the businessman.
