Sri Lanka central bank profits for 2023,trasfer not finalized

Ari Lanka central bank profits for 2023 have not yet been finalized to decide whether they could be transferred to the government, Governor Nandaial Weerasinghe said.

“on the central bank profit transfer we have not finalized yet, The central bank balance sheet.” it has to be finalized and audited and then only according to the Monetary Law act provision, The Monetary Board will make a decision on whether there are sufficient amounts to transfer.

Sri Lanka’s central bank holds about 2.5 trillion rupee securities acquired to inject liquidity drive credit, import demand and loss reserves, which are paying around 30 per cent.
