Japanese Government Donated to Sri Lanka Police

The Japanese Government donated 150 motorcycles,74 vans and minibuses and 116 pieces of surveillance equipment for the use of the Sri Lanka Police Department. The donation was symbolically handed over to President Ranilwickremesighe at the Presidential Secretariat on 03 Feb.

Japanese Minister of State of Foreign affairs Mr Takei Shunsuke presented the documents related to the delivery of the equipment to the President following the inspection of these vehicles, the [president engaged in cordial conversation with the Japanese State Foreign Minister.

Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mr Mizukoshi Hideaki and the Japanese delegation, the president’s senior Advisor on National Security and Chief of Presidential staff Mr Sagala Ratnayake, the Director of International Affairs to the President Mr Dinouk Colombage and several others attended the event.
