New agreement with World Green Development Organization

New agreement signs to look into climate and build a green economy.The agreement signed between Sri Lanka Government and Worl Green Development Organization for progress in Sri Lanka’s Climate activities and green growth.

The agreement was signed yesterday afternoon in front of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and President of the World Green Development Institute and former Secretary general of the United Nations Ban Key Moon.

Dr Anil Jayasinghe, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Director General Frank Rijsbernman of World Green Development Institute signed the agreement on behalf of the Sri Lankan Government.

The agreement enables the most effective design and implements green growth initiatives in the country. The agreement also includes the implementation of the National adaptation plan (NAP) funded by the Green Climate Fund(GCF) to enhance capacity and institution.
