A Lesson From Court To the Tele Actress .

Colombo district court judge Poornima Paranagama, ordered popular actress Ruchini Tanasha to hold over the house in Colombo 3, which had been given to her as a gift by her grandmother back to the latter, over her failure to adequately care for the elderly woman.

the judge in her verdict stated that the grandmother has written the house to the plaintiff as part of her last 3 years ago, but stressed that the actress had failed to look after her and said she had mistreated her.

the court thus determined that the actress’ actions could not be condoned and ordered her to pay compensation to the tune of Rs 5 million and pay a monthly stipend of Rs 30,000 till such time as the property is legally handed over to the defendant.
