The world’s largest aircraft engine
This is the Ultra Fan by Rolls Royce the largest demonstrator aircraft engine in the world. It has a fan diameter of 3.5 meters and its power gearbox set a new aerospace world record reaching 64MW during previous tests.
The technology behind it delivers greater fuel efficiency which means lower emissions and greater aviation sustainability. Rolls Royce claims that from its first day in service, the ultra-fan will be able to run on 100% sustainable aviation fuel.
