Accident at Kottawa: Driver died

One person died in a tragic accident that took place close to the Expressway Entrance in Kottawa.

Sri Lanka Police said a car had rear-ended a lorry that was parked on the side of the road to change a tire on Thursday (23) night.

The 47-year-old driver of the car, identified as a resident of Akuressa, died in the accident. In addition, a 27-year-old Russian woman who was also traveling in the car was admitted to the Homagama Hospital for treatment.

Sri Lanka Police said that the accident took place when she was on her way to the Katunayake Airport.
