Preschool teacher brutally murdered on her way to school in Peradeniya

In a tragic incident that has left the community in shock, a 25-year-old preschool teacher was brutally murdered early this morning (07 April) in the Kobbekaduwa area in Peradeniya. The victim, identified as Anjali Chapa, a resident of Muruthalawa, was attacked with a sharp weapon on a road in the Ginihena area while on her way to school.

Despite being rushed to the Ilukthanna Hospital, Chapa was pronounced dead upon admission, leaving her family and friends devastated. The police have stated that no suspects have been arrested yet, and investigations are currently underway. The Peradeniya Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist with their investigations.

The senseless and heinous act has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing their condolences and calling for justice to be served.
