Ben Holdings launches Athavan TV, a new Tamil channel in Sri Lanka

Ben Holdings, a leading media conglomerate, has launched its newest television channel, “Athavan TV,” in Sri Lanka. The channel was officially launched on the auspicious day of April 26, 2023, under the chairmanship of Alliraj Subaskaran, CEO of the Lyca Group.
As per the company’s announcement, Sri Lankan viewers can tune into Athavan TV through various mediums, including Freesat (Ch no. 27), TV Lanka Digital (Ch no. 21), Dialog TV (Ch no. 202 on Viu Hub 2.0 & ViU Mini), City Cable TV (Ch no. 38), and the Dialog ViU app. The channel will soon be available on PEOTV (Ch no. 105) and the PEOTV GO app.
Moreover, Athavan TV has already received UHF frequencies for broadcasting across the island, which will enable it to reach a wider audience in Sri Lanka.
The new Tamil television channel is set to offer an array of entertainment, news, and current affairs programs, including music shows, talk shows, dramas, and movies. The channel aims to cater to the growing demand for Tamil content in Sri Lanka and provide a platform for local talents to showcase their skills.
