16-Year-Old Girl Found Dead in Kalutara: Couple and Another Person Remanded in Custody

In Kalutara, Sri Lanka, a 16-year-old girl was found dead after falling from the third floor of a five-story building where rooms are rented, according to police reports. The incident occurred on May 6, and the victim was later identified as a resident of the Nagoda area in Kalutara. The naked body of the schoolgirl was discovered next to the railway line in Kalutara city.

The suspects include the deceased’s female friend and the friend’s boyfriend, as well as another who is the driver of a vehicle linked to the crime. The suspect in question has been identified as the driver of the car in which the group, including the victimized girl, had arrived at the hotel.

At the Kalutara Magistrate’s Court, the couple and the other person who were arrested in connection with the incident have been ordered to be remanded in custody until May 15. Investigations are ongoing.
