WhatsApp Introduces Message Editing Feature, Empowering Users with More Control

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has announced that it will introduce a message editing feature, allowing users to edit their messages within 15 minutes of sending them. This move aligns WhatsApp with competitors such as Telegram and Discord which already offer similar functionality.
The feature will be rolled out to WhatsApp’s massive user base of 2 billion people in the coming weeks. With India as its largest market, boasting 487 million users, this update is expected to have a significant impact. WhatsApp stated in a blog post that this feature will provide users with more control over their chats, enabling them to correct mistakes or add additional context to their messages
