‘Langama’ seat online booking is successful.
Chairman of Sri Lanka Transport Board Lalith de Alwis said that the service of pre-booking seats through the Internet is very successful and seventy-seven thousand people avail the service in a month.
The chairman also said that an income of three and a half crore rupees has been received from this service in one year. Four thousand nine hundred buses of the Sri Lanka Transport Board are currently running. Seat reservations for Langama buses were made from Langama offices located at depots and bus stations, and online seat reservation facilities were provided in early 2023. According to this, many people make seat reservations through the internet and thus next year a significant number of luxurious buses will be added to the operation and steps will be taken to make the Langama service more efficient.
