The Inspector General of Police meets the President

Mr. T.M.W. Deshbandu Thennakone, who was appointed as the new Inspector General of Police, met with President Ranil Wickramasinghe at the President’s Office yesterday.
After assuming office as the 36th Inspector General of Police, Mr. Thennakone took the opportunity to inquire about the health of the President.
President Wickremesinghe, who paid his respects to the new Inspector General of Police, also engaged in a friendly conversation with him.
As a mark of respect for the tradition, the new IGP presented a traditional souvenir to the President.
