IMF second review

The second review of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Extended Fund Facility Program for Sri Lanka will begin today (March 07) with the opening meeting to be held with President Ranil Wickremesinghe. State Minister Shehan Semasinghe said this marks a crucial milestone in the ongoing efforts by the government to enhance stability and economic growth.
He said the government expects to conclude a successful review and reach the staff-level agreement which will pave the way for accessing the third tranche.
