Part of the Mirigama – Kadawatha highway collapsed.

The Road Development Authority says that a report has been called regarding the collapse of a part of the Mirigama-Kadavata highway. A part of the construction near the Bemmulla Kadaoluvawa area of ​​the Mirigama-Kadawatha highway, where construction has been stopped, collapsed recently.
The Road Development Authority said that this was caused by overturning a concrete beam of about 35 meters long and two other beams are in a dangerous condition.
In 2021, concrete beams were installed in this section and the reason for the overturning of the beam has not yet been revealed.
