A large fire in Akurana temporarily closes a major road.
The Kandy – Matale road has been temporarily closed due to a fire in a restaurant in Akurana.
Due to the spread of the fire to several other shops, the road has been closed temporarily. The owners have stated that there are about 50 gas cylinders in the restaurant, so it is difficult to control the fire.
The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
