DVB-T2 television technology to the whole island .

Preparations are being made these days to launch digital television all over the island using DVB-T2 television technology under the island-wide expansion of digital television services.
As the first transmission to begin, arrangements are currently being made to start broadcasting through Matale village. The aim is to cover Matale, North Central and North West through Matale village. This will cover many more areas.

Also, the aim is to start a digital television service providing coverage in Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, the North and all over the island.
A press conference will be held to reveal all the information about this.
