After engaging in religious rituals and receiving the blessings of Maha Sangha Ratna, he signed the nomination paper at an auspicious moment.
A group of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna officials including former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Sagara Kariyawasam also participated in this event.
