According to the Election Commission, the maximum amount a presidential candidate can spend on election campaigning is 109 rupees per voter.
Under the third section of the Election Expenses Regulation Act No. 3 of 2023, the expenditure limit that a candidate contesting for the presidential election must spend on behalf of a voter has been published through a special gazette.
Accordingly, it is stated that one candidate can spend not more than 109 rupees on behalf of a registered voter in the voter’s list and the maximum limit that can be paid is 98,586 rupees one hundred and eighty-six crores.
