Sri Lanka’s new airline will start soon.
Sri Lanka’s newest airline, Air Ceilao, is set to launch with flight transformation planning. The carrier will initially target key destinations in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region and expand to long-haul routes via Europe and Australia in the future. Air Ceilao plans to operate a mixed fleet of narrow- and wide-body aircraft to serve its initial routes.
As Sri Lanka’s second privately owned international airline, Air Ceilao aims to provide a customer-centric travel experience by balancing low-cost and luxury options. This approach can disrupt existing market dynamics and provide more choices for travellers.
Chairman Janith Kashan emphasizes that Air Ceilao’s mission is to make air travel extraordinary and accessible to all. The airline has assembled an experienced aviation team and launched a nationwide recruitment drive, focusing on local talent to lead its operations.
