Orders to close TikTok offices in Canada
The Canadian government has ordered the closure of offices in Canada belonging to the Chinese social network TikTok, citing a threat to national security. The government has announced no ban on Canadians accessing the TikTok social network online. However, a TikTok spokesman says that the government’s decision to close the related institutions will result in the loss of many local jobs.
