The inaugural meeting of the 10th Parliament is today
The ceremonial opening of the first session of the 10th Parliament will be held today, where President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will present the government’s policy statement.
After ringing the quorum bell at 9.55 a.m. today, Parliament will convene at 10.00 a.m. After placing the mace in the chamber, the Secretary General of Parliament will present the extraordinary gazette announcements issued by the President setting the date as the first session—order of business.
