Amazon Announces New AI-Powered Slate

At its annual AWS conference, Amazon announced a new slate of artificial intelligence platforms, known as foundation models, that allow for the generation of text, images, and videos, among other things. The new offerings compete with rivals like Adobe and Meta, which are competing to serve customers who want to automate more of their services.
“They want better latency. They want lower costs. They want fine-tunability,” The announcements mark Amazon’s biggest move to combat a reputation for being flat-footed in developing AI apps as competitors move ahead.
