Earthquake in Tibet kills 9, collapses several buildings.
State media reported that a strong earthquake near the Nepal border today collapsed several buildings in Tibet and killed nine people. According to the China Earthquake Network Center, the 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit Dingri near the Nepal border at 9:05 a.m. The US Geological Survey reported the earthquake as 7.1 on the Richter scale.
