Strongest earthquake in Delhi NCR
On Monday, February 17, 2025, at approximately 5:36 AM, an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 struck Delhi and its surrounding National Capital Region.
The earthquake’s epicentre was located in Delhi, at a shallow depth of only 5 km. This shallow origin is likely to intensify tremors felt across the region. Residents reported feeling a strong tremor, and many panicked out of their homes. The shock was also felt in other parts of North India.
