Microsoft is shutting down Skype, the video calling service it bought in 2011 for $8.5 billion that helped change the way people communicate online. Microsoft said it would phase out Skype in May and shift some of its services to Microsoft Teams, its flagship video conferencing and team app platform. Skype users can use their existing accounts to log into groups.
