A state of emergency has been declared in the Seychelles
A state of emergency has been declared on the island of Mahe, Seychelles, due to a large explosion.
Foreign media reports that the explosion took place in an explosives warehouse in an industrial area of the country.
Many buildings have collapsed due to the explosion. A large number of houses have also been destroyed. All but essential workers have been ordered to stay at home.
