Udawalawa-Tanamalwila Road will be closed for a week.

Udawalawa Reservoir Chief Engineer Themiya Banda says that the Udawalawa Thanamalwila Road running over the dam will be completely closed for 15 weeks from today to repair the dam and the outlet of the Udawalawa Reservoir. From there you can go to Embilipitiya town along Thanamalvila road.

After closing the road till the 22nd for this maintenance purpose, only one lane will be kept open from the 23rd to the 26th of December and after that, the road will be completely closed again from the 07th of January to the 14th of January 2024. It will be fully opened from January 15, 2024. Chief Engineer said.
