Palitha Thevarapperuma passes away.
Palitha Thevarapperuma, a former Member of Parliament of the United National Party as well as a former Deputy Minister of Wildlife, has died due to electrocution.
The accident occurred when he went to connect two electric wires while working on his coconut land in the Yadadolawatta area of Matugama yesterday evening.The former MP who was seriously injured in the accident died after being taken to the Nagoda hospital. Born on May 3, 1960, Palitha Thevarapperuma was a landowner as well as a planter. He was 63 years old when he died.
