The Haliela police said that traffic has come to a standstill between Badulla and Bandarawela on the Badulla-Colombo main road. It is in Uduwara 7kanuwa area With the ongoing heavy rains, a large tree fell on the road along with a large mound of earth, and Haliela Police further stated that they are working to repair the road.
