State Minister Mr. Sanath Nishantha passed away.

It is reported that the Minister of State Sanath Nishantha has died in a car accident that took place in the early hours of today (25). The accident happened on the Katunayake Expressway. The police said that the luxury car he was traveling in, which was driving from Katunayake towards Colombo, collided with the back of a container that was driving in the same direction. Then the car hit the security fence.
The state minister, his security officer, and the driver of the vehicle who were seriously injured in the accident were admitted to Ragama Hospital.
The police said that the state minister and the security officer lost their lives there.
