53 massage parlours have been closed with immediate effect.

53 massage centers run in Negombo Police Division have been raided and closed with immediate effect.
Two of the maids of those massage centers have HIV. The police said that it had been confirmed to be infected.
It has also been revealed that the massage centers have been running without proper permission. During that raid, 120 young women engaged in massage services in those centers were taken into police custody and sent for medical tests.
The police said that two of them were found to be HIV positive. Negombo Police stated that there was a 15-year-old minor girl among them. Also, the police said that eight other massage workers who were infected with social diseases were found here.
